Dining In Troncones

You will have several options for dining. Ramada-style beachfront like Restaurante Los Angeles and Majahuitas in the village of Majahua are a 10 minute walk to the north.  These places may seem a bit daunting at first, but the food is good, the beer is cold (usually) and the prices are Mexican.  Restaurante Manzanillo, another beachfront ramada restaurant is 10 minutes walk south of the house.

For the best dining in Troncones, La Cocina del Sol is open from November through April at the hotel Posada Eden, 10 minutes walk south of the house.  Chef Christian Schirmer creates a different delight every day.  On Sundays La Cocina del Sol hosts the weekly Troncones BBQ.  This is a great time to meet other visitors to Troncones as well as many of the locals.  The restaurant at The Inn at Manzanillo Bay is providing competition for the title of best restaurant in the area.  It is located about five minutes walk south of La Cocina del Sol

Want even more variety?  El Burro Borracho, Tropic of Cancer Beach Club, Restaurante Costa Brava, R. Esmerelda, La Pergola and others are about three kilometers drive south in "downtown" Troncones.

Adela, our maid, may be available to prepare your food for evening meals at a cost comparable to nearby restaurants, but the convenience of being at home.  You can provide the food or provide her with money to do the shopping for you. And if you just like your own cooking, enjoy your own creations.  The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, blender, juicer, pots & pans and gas range for your convenience.
